Demmi died tragically while out roller-skating with her sister, after being hit by a car on a busy
dual carriageway.

Demmi was crossing Great Western Road at the Drumry roundabout, in Clydebank near Glasgow, when the
accident happened . She was with her sister, Carly, 17, just a short distance from their home.

Carly, brother Robbie, five, and their mother, Andrea, are devastated by Demmi's death.

It is the second blow to strike the family as Mrs Adams's husband, Douglas, died suddenly when Demmi
was just a toddler.

Charlie McKay, 46, Demmi's grandfather, wept yesterday as he laid flowers at the scene. He said:
"She was so full of life and always laughing. I just can't believe it." He left a bouquet of flowers
with a note saying: "To my little angel, love u forever, love Granpa xx."

Carol-Ann Wright, 47, a neighbour, said: "I always used to see her scooting about. She was always on
her bike or skating with her friends. My son saw her before it happened on her skates. She was such
a cheerful little tyke."

Mahmood Akbar, 47, a local shop-owner, said: "She was a nice little girl. She was always cheerful
and always wanted to have a chat with me."
